The Tranquil are gone.
No, that’s not entirely true, but—the ratio of Tranquil-to-mages who have shown up in Skyhold, or with the Inquisition’s other allies, is startlingly low compared to what it should be. Especially considering the Rite’s rise in popularity before and after the vote at the White Spire.
And unfortunately, with everything else going on in Thedas, it’s a problem that’s fallen to the side. Maybe it would be something that wasn’t remembered until after Corypheus was defeated, but a group of Venatori have recently barricaded themselves into a small guard outpost in the Hinterlands, about two day's ride from Redcliffe Village. A Tranquil, formerly of Kirkwall, alerted the Inquisition to what was occurring in the outpost, and their account is too sensitive to be sent even by raven.
Inquisition scouts currently hold the perimeter, and could have normally starved them out, but reinforcements will arrive soon.

The plot is open to all sorts of characters-- a scholar type is welcome to be out of range for the fighting part and then return in time for the temple, or a warrior could join in for just the first part and not the second.
WHO: Thranduil, Cassandra, and a ragtag assortment of other folks.
HOW MANY: Thranduil and Cass + up to seven more people.
OPEN/CLOSED: Open, at least one Dalish elf or somehow who has understanding of written Elvhen. Someone like this will be given priority!
WHERE: Hinterlands and the Forbidden Oasis.
WHEN: End of December- yes, this will be super forward dated. Sign-ups close on the 23rd.
So, how will this be going?

- The group will travel to the Hinterlands, interview the Tranquil, who will explain what’s happening at the outpost.
- Fight off the reinforcements, and then;
- Storm the hut, which will be filled with (predictably) blood mage Venatori, various codex entry style info drops, the shards the Venatori have collected (damned completionist players) and also sweet, sweet loot.
-They will find the Oculara entry, as well as another note instructing the completed Ocularum to be brought to the Forbidden Oasis, where an elven temple has been found, called Solasan.
After that, they'll go and poke around in there, where a few surprises await!

CAN YOUR CHARACTER READ ELVHEN: A few words, but that's it. Don't rely on her for elven stuff.
PART OF THE PLOT YOU'RE MOST INTERESTED IN: Inessa has a lot of feelings about the Tranquil, as a former Circle mage, so that should be interesting. I'm also interested in temple exploration, so there's plenty to keep me involved.

CAN YOUR CHARACTER READ ELVHEN: Yes, is probably one of the more fluent in it as any Dalish alive due to First responsibilities etc.
PART OF THE PLOT YOU'RE MOST INTERESTED IN: The scholarly stuff, the elven temple, and I peripherally am interested in shedding light on the Oculara stuff although Velanna may be less impacted by it since the Dalish don't do the Tranquil thing.
