BASIS: Morbid curiosity about the Kirkwall elite and/or morbid curiosity about the Andrastian religion definitely plays a part but also as a rifter/someone who works in Thranduil's department, he'd want to see the wedding in some capacity for himself but lol at him trying to blend in with the elite as a rifter mage. So definitely a worker. (He would have no qualms about sneaking/ensuring Gwen and/or any friend of Gwen got as many shots, for what it's worth.)
