An Antivan sailor rumored—without any credibility—to be Benedetta’s illegitimate child is being tracked by pro-Gertruda merchants who want to convince him to come forward and name her as his mother. For enough money, he just might do it. Make sure they never find him by kidnapping him off his ship and temporarily rehoming him with some pirates.
...Is more or less how this is going to go, except surprise! The pirates our intrepid Antivan sailor is being """temporarily""" re-homed with aren't actually the ones currently harassing Kirkwall. Rather, we'll be kidnapping this sailor from an Antivan merchant ship and then running off to meet a crew out of Llomerryn whom Flint and Silver are engaged with in some, uh, delicate side business. Apparently they were already planning to rendezvous with said Llomerryn pirates after tooling around the Waking Sea to get some hot goss, and now they both have a fabulous cover story and are saddled with an inconvenient Inquisition friend or two interested in sticking it an old lady.
Come for the kidnapping, stay for the pirate conference; if you tell anyone about this, Flint will personally throw you into the ocean. Comment here if you want to go in for Divine related intrigue and then land in totally different, technically unrelated intrigue. Going to limit this to a maximum of three additional people just so it's not unwieldy. Happy to hammer out the exact details as to why Flint doesn't insist on ditching them in Kirkwall before heading out, but it might be easiest to make things work if your character either cares enough about sabotaging Gertruda/supporting Benedetta to be adamant about personally seeing some good intel acted on, or they have some established CR with either Flint or Silver. Please come make things awkward for these assholes; I personally find it extremely funny.
Stealth-y and action-y
