OOC Calendar

We now have a permanent calendar. If you have events you'd like to see added, you can contact us or leave a comment on the calendar itself. OOC dates this month:

Character Cap Updates

All of our character caps and disallowed categories will remain in place for the February application round. This means each player may have no more than one elf, one mage, one rifter, one advisor/companion character, and three characters overall; we also will not accept any additional applications for Dalish or Tevinter characters other than canon companions at this time. (For the curious, Dalish characters remain the second-largest nationality group after Fereldans, while Tevinters are now tied with Orlesians and Free Marchers.) If any of the limits will be revised for March's application round, we'll announce it after the February application round.

Advisor Inbox & Group Journals

Now that we have the full set of Inquisition advisors, they and we have set up a group IC inbox for any requests or reports that your characters would take to the the Inquisition's leadership. Please begin ICly reaching out to them, rather than to us, if your character wants to ask to use Inquisition resources or propose ideas/quests. Player plots and other requests still need to be brought to us for OOC approval through the usual channels, and if the advisors cannot ICly support your character's goals we will still try to find ways to make it happen for you. The advisors' IC approval or disapproval will be used to determine how your plot comes about, how much support or funding your character has, etc.

As a reminder, the Mage Council has a similar group journal with an inbox for proposals and suggestions that would be brought to the Council. The Wardens-in-Residence also have some information up.

Feedback Update

Thanks to everyone who voted in our plot/quest feedback poll! Mod starters and report forms were pretty universally popular, so we'll be implementing those across the board, and using a mix of the other options depending on what a specific quest or war table operation requires. If you have any other ideas or feedback as we try these things out, we always want to hear about it!

PLOT/IC UPDATES

The Month of Guardian

This month and into next, the Inquisition will be an active presence in Emprise du Lion. If you need to get caught up, here are the OOC post, closed quest information, and IC post. The areas being taken into Inquisition control via these quests will be open for all characters to visit afterwards. If you missed out on quests this time or have characters less action-oriented, there will be a second set running into March/Drakonis more focused on discovery and exploration than combat.

War Table Operations

We're taking a short break from providing new War Table Operations this month to focus on the Emprise quests. (Those waiting for information on current operations will still be getting it!) But going forward, every War Table Op will have a report form for players to submit to us after the conclusion of an operation. This is to help narrow your focus and to help us keep track of your choices so we can incorporate your influence into future plots! Since the operations have potential effects we plan to use for future operations or plot impact, any operations that we don't receive a report on within a month of distribution may be retracted and placed back on the page to be claimed by new players. (We'll remind you first, of course.)

General Resource Reminders

We have a permanent IC News & Gossip page--we highly recommend tracking the page or specific comments so you can keep abreast of what's going on and using it to spread information you think other people should be aware of, particularly info related to plot.

If your character is pursuing an investigation or project that is still in its research stages and you need more information about what they'd discover, remember to use the information requests page. We've also received some great plot suggestions and player plot requests, and we encourage everyone to submit more.

For those of you interested in worldbuilding, we also have a section on the Setting page specifically for player contributions. If you make up a town, a Circle, a popular ballad, significant event, or anything else that others might have ICly heard of, feel free to provide some info about it to help flesh out the world.
