Who They Are: Former noble high elf Magistrate turned vampire spawn, which is just like a knock off version of a vampire proper. All the weaknesses, almost none of the benefits, with a side of being eternally enthralled. Has since lost all of the above, and is now a weird albino with strange teeth.
Still fond of the taste of blood though, oops.
Where They've Been: Kidnapped, freed from enthrallment, fell through a rift, it's all rather tedious.
What They Want: CHAOS
Also to live, baby. Eat some solid food, sleep in a warm bed, go out for a wild night on the town, cause some mayhem— oh, and...help some people or whatever it is you all do here. Yay team. Anyway.
Plot & CR Desires:
。trouble!!! get into trouble with him, be tempted by him to do something a little out of bounds, give in to being bad for a change— anything in terms of corruption is fair game. Let him be your personal devil.
。anything involving breaking past his thicker insulation to dig into the softer heart inside: he's a bad person, but he's still got a heart in there, and he can be convinced to use it instead of always being a force for malice and indulgence
。talk about vampires with him, maybe get into a little lore, or kick off his distaste for the whole thing
。he needs a shield. A bodyguard, a protector, a friend, whatever you want to call it, he doesn't want to be the one taking hits in a fight.

BIG WARNING GOES HERE that Baldur's Gate 3 is technically in playable pre-release and will be for a long time to come. I've pulled Astarion from the very beginning of the game to keep spoilers to a bare minimum, but anyone that wants to wait for the full game and keep themselves pure as the driven snow is totally fair in my book. Please use my OPT OUT POST to let me know if you need me to avoid tagging you.
BIGGER WARNING GOES HERE Astarion's past deals with trauma such as **mind control, slavery, torture, blood, mutilation and abuse, he doesn't like to discuss it. He doesn't like to even think about it, not even to himself, so the odds of any of this coming up are fairly low barring specific circumstances, HOWEVER for the sake of my own sanity, if you'd like me to completely avoid any of these topics while threading, please please please use my OPT OUT POST to let me know what to swear off!
