OOC: Player Plot - Let No Soul Hunger for Justice
Justice is a problem.
That is an understatement.
If you all will just help Anders collect a few deposits, he can be free of the-- oh wait. Wrong game.
Adelaide and Nathaniel have been trying to find ways to help Anders actually be free of Justice, with the former seeking to return the spirit to the Fade, and the latter seeking anything, really, because he can see how poorly things are going. Adelaide has found five rituals that may work out of a whole lot that were too ridiculous or flawed to consider.
Nate, Adelaide, Bethany, and Anders will be looking for people to help with these rituals.
Summary rundown:
-Each of the five rituals will have about a week and a half of OOC time dedicated to it. If you sign up, please be willing to put the log somewhere near the top of your tag priority list.
-The first two happen in the beginning of May, with an IC break for regathering when they fail
-The first two are on the silly/low risk side, and the latter three get progressively more dangerous.
-The character types sought are a loose form. If you think your character would fit into one of the rituals and they’re not one of the types listed, sign up anyway and note why on the ‘notes’ line!
-All of these will be happening approximately a half-hour outside of Skyhold for the safety of those in the fortress as well as the chance of backup/help if something goes very wrong.
-We’ll probably be taking 3-4 people for the log parts of rituals 1-3, potentially a couple more for ritual 4, and a bunch for ritual 5.
-Rituals 4 and 5 will include dice rolling for injuries to participants. Some may get off scot-free, some may be injured.
-Signups are open through April 27th, and limited to people who are not known to actively want to hurt Anders.

Beginning of May:
Ritual one: Absurd, Attempt to coax the spirit back into the Fade by the power of song.
Character types sought: Research types to figure out proper pronunciations for some of the words in this really old song, Bard types for the Very Thedas Sing-A-Long
Results: Everyone participating will be forced to sing anything they try to say for 24 hours.
Early May:
Ritual two: Absurd, Divine the true essence of the human soul and the spirit and divide them accordingly.
Character types sought: Philosophical types, any for talking about what a soul is, there will be a crystal post for this leg of it for the debate. Mages and a Templar for the actual separation attempt, just in case.
Results: Those involved in the attempt get stuck speaking the truth for 24 hours.
Very late May/Early June:
Ritual three: Arcane, Sleepwalk into the Fade to guide the spirit away from the mage.
Character types sought: Scholars/Mages for walking the fade, this one would be not be open to rifters as it seems a little too risky. They have an NPC means of getting lyrium, but if your character has lyrium connections and would like to participate like that instead, that’s an option!
Results: Optional coma for 24-48 hours for participants.
After Number Three:
Ritual four: Risky, Reverse binding: Attempt to expel the Spirit to the Fade with an obscure binding circle.
Character types sought: Mages, Templar for casting/being on hand. A few Fighting types nearby too because…
Results: Demons. Demons everywhere.
After Number Four which is after number three:
Ritual five: Arcane and risky. Complicated formula, binding circle, philter, guidance of another spirit (Compassion.)
Character types sought: Everything. People to gather obscure herbs, people to obtain lyrium, fighters/mages/templars/rogues to deal with this in case because the last binding attempt went so awry, healers available, etc.
Results: Dice determined - Success…. Sort-of. Justice is removed from Anders but becomes Vengeance as he has to be forced out, attacks. Boss fight.
