Who They Are: The Dragon is a human Court Wizard from an alternate medieval Poland called Polnya. He has a reputation as pretty much the strongest, smartest, keenest... and, well, most arrogant wizard in the land. He is both fearsome and awesome, and he served as protector of a vast valley that laid at the borders of an evil all-consuming Wood.
Where They've Been: Honestly? Mostly the Gallows. He's trying to get to know the place and would rather stick to books than interact with the townies if he can help it.
What They Want: Mostly to gather as much knowledge and new magical skill as possible, as well as to aid in clearing and preventing corruption caused by rifts. Blood Magic will not be off-limits to his mind. He also wants to learn how to control rifts, if possible, for a swift route back to his native lands.
Plot & CR Desires: Honestly, I'm up for anything! I'm a total newbie here, and I want to start forging both positive and negative CR; he's not so keen on people who behave like buffoons, and he does not respect downright vile and self-serving folks. He will come around to respect intelligent folks and people who are willing to give him the latitude and tools to work magic the best way he knows how. He is also willing to work with other mages who show special talent or 'mesh' well with his style.... with plenty of prodding through his prickliness, of course.
Anything Else: I really enjoyed playing around with a couple of you on the Test Drive meme! I hope to forge a lot of lasting RP relationships here. I am flexible and looking to call Fade Rift a new 'home base,' so please hit me up and help me get my feet wet. Please feel free to ask me any questions. I know I am playing from a pretty obscure canon, so I'm happy to work out any pertinent details with other players that may be fuzzy. :)

i’m so glad you apped, as i’ve already shouted at you elsewhere, but i’m still so glad.

the dragon looks like a cool, complex dude, and i can’t wait to see how he develops in-game (and what he ends up involving himself in). i’m definitely going to keep an eye out for your posts so i can start shoving people at him.

aaand if at some point you’d like an ic intro to blood magic, for good or ill, i’ve got a friendly blood mage hanging around, though he's a little quiet about it, and generally prone to buffoonery.

there's also this significantly less friendly templar who would be happy to talk up the dangers, probably while looming like an asshole. provided they didn't just implode from mutual stubbornness.

It sounds like they have a lot in common, which could either be a good thing (Diwa would be thrilled to help with this "control the rifts so we can go home" plan) or a bad thing (prickly, arrogant and accustomed to ruling shit + prickly, arrogant and accustomed to ruling shit = oh dear.) Either way, could be fun!

Oh, yes, Diwaniya is a perfect resource for the Dragon. I can imagine them sort of begrudgingly working together and respecting their abilities, but PERSONALITY CLASH AHOY. I wonder which one of them will out-arrogant each other?

I am totally up for saying our test drive thread is now canon if you like and it fits into your post-arrival plans.

I think I would super duper like our thread to be canon, so long as his settling in period doesn't screw this out of the realm of possibility! Then I can have automatic CR with you, Cosima. Yessssssssssss \o/ And I'm also putting him into the Research division to start, so I think it'll make total sense in the context of the game.

Fandom has a lot of Opinions on Anders and it's all over the spectrum, hee. The thing to know about this one is that he's no longer possessed, which makes him a lot easier to deal with, LOL, generally speaking, but he's still opinionated and passionate.
