Hello most beauteous, Fade Rifters!

Here is an update post on the snow fight post that is going up on the 13th. Sign ups are not closed - you can still throw people in, Ruby wouldn't be one to say people can't get involved when it's all about inclusion and getting to know people anyway, but here is the basic team layout. Anyone else who signs up will be smooshed into the existing teams.

Regarding teams; We all could have had normal team names if Ruby and Obi-Wan hadn't started to be obnoxious. (Ruby, Ruby was the obnoxious one.)

More importantly:
The teams were determined through pulling names out of a hat, and then with tweaking to allow for diversity and making sure no one had two characters on the same team, etc. I tried to work requests into this, but ultimately the whole team building/working with different people from different groups was the bigger part of the exercise. There won't be any swapping around, please don't ask me to.

Some Super Important Notes
1. Each team member will get a sash of their colour, to avoid any confusion on the field.

2. No weapons, no magic - and you can only tackle people larger than you, not anyone who is smoller B( it's sort of a "be reasonable with your interference" type deal, don't hurt people thing.

3. The goal of the game is flag capture!
Each team will have seven flags they need to defend or reclaim. The goal with having multiple flags is that there's no need to keep track of the number of flags or where they are, just go with whatever you want to thread and what's fun.

4. There will be an IC prize for the winning team!
I need to check a couple of things to see if Ruby could ICly organise extra prizes, but there will definitely be a party with a generous chunk of tab paid for at the tavern for the winning team to celebrate and be groovy.
This reward party will ICly be set post-Orlais (ooc date to be determined based on what's convenient), to allow time for backtagging etc on the snow thing, and so that people don't find themselves loaded up with too many things and feeling overwhelmed etc etc. It can also be handwaved if that's what your team prefers.

5. The winning team will be determined by total comment count, but don't stress - I'm going to wait until two or three weeks (comment if you have a preference on the time frame!) after the log has been posted to do the count, to allow for people with different tagging paces and availability to not feel they've missed their chance to be involved if they can't dive in right away.

Basically:
- every character in a team that posts a thread starter will earn 2 points for their team
- every character that replies to another thread starter will earn 2 points per starter they reply to
(multiple threads with the same character won't get the bonus 2 points each time, it's just 2 points per new character you reply to)
- and then after that it's just one point per comment

(I am going to make a chart and drink a lot of cider on counting day, I can feel it)
Right now we have seven characters per team, but if we wind up with more sign ups and thus have some teams with extra folks, other teams will extra points based on the average number of points they got per team member and then get that average added onto their existing score.

(The points don't really matter, lbr, but just so we can have a determined winner and all. And to encourage tagging around, and all. Wheeeee.)

6. Characters can't be eliminated! Snow balls will just make you cold and possibly dye your skin and clothes temporarily, but since the goal is flag capture the teams will stay complete.
