rifter intro - ignis scientia (final fantasy xv)

Anything We Should Know: Just that Ignis's application includes details from Episode Ignis. He's not very likely to talk about spoiler-y stuff (he didn't even tell Noct in canon), but it might come up in prose - especially if the subject is about his eyes. If you would like to avoid spoilers please let me know so I can make sure to avoid writing that stuff into prose with you.

Who They Are: Ignis is the adviser and chamberlain for the current King of Lucis, Noctis Lucis Caelum. Because of this, a lot of his skills tend towards diplomacy and tending to others. He's poised and proper, but tends to a wry sense of humor. He is also not even a little bit shy about using puns.
Recently, Ignis has lost his sight after pretty much having his eyes burned out of his head and his King has disappeared into a crystal. Yep, a crystal. That one takes a lot of explaining... Oh Final Fantasy your plots are so much fun.
He's from the same world as Prompto and is likely to fuss a bit over him and anyone who helped him settle in. He can be the best mom friend when he put his mind to it.
Where They've Been: He's going to be arriving with the next Rifter log. Otherwise he's just been chilling on Eos dealing with the fact that the days have disappeared and Noct got eaten by a crystal. That happened about a month ago and he's coping, though probably not as well as he pretends.
What They Want: Mostly to cope with being in a new place? At the same time, he was in the midst of re-learning how to do a lot of things even back home.
At his core, Ignis hates feeling useless so he'll also want to try and help out and become involved once he knows what's happening here.
Plot & CR Desires: As stated, Ignis was in the process of relearning a lot of things just based on his eye sight being gone and now he's going to have learning a new world on top of that. I was hoping people would be willing to help him re-learn how to do things? The main focus for him for a bit will be cooking and fighting. Eventually in his canon, he gets to the point where he's comfortable with his lack of sight, but that takes a few years and for Ignis it's only been like two months.
I also really want to play with the whole 'distrusting Rifters' thing.
