CHARACTER
Name: Gervais Vauquelin
Info Page/App: under construction
Who They Are: A research healer who's been missing-presumed-dead since the annulment of the White Spire, which he was not present for; the younger brother of Comte Vauquelin and uncle of Gwenaëlle Baudin. He's 6'2", broad, redhaired and has a stutter: you can't miss the fucker. He spent roughly forty years specializing in healing magic, mentoring (challenging, with his speech impediment, but rewarding for students who suited his teaching style), and learning to specialize in reproductive health. (His expertise is more nonmagical, and supplemented by the fact he can cut corners by magical healing, rather than magically academic focused. He does a brilliant c-section, and since he can heal the wound, the mother lives as well as the baby.)
Where They've Been: For most of his life, the White Spire, though during his career as an Enchanter he traveled fairly extensively for a circle mage on research trips and when called upon in his capacity as a healer—most usually for difficult births.
What They Want: To make himself available to the Inquisition professionally, to Wren Coupe personally, and to be in Kirkwall if his family has need of him.
Plot & CR Desires: ALL OF IT. I have some plans for him re: medical research and rifters, but he's wide open right now. He'll definitely be digging into the phylactery debate ASAP.
Anything Else: If your character knew of him in the White Spire days, he was well-known for being an even-tempered, mild-mannered man who never put a foot wrong, didn't seem to know that his face might be capable of making expressions, extremely professionally competent and utterly harmless. He was also quietly known for having slept with most available, age-appropriate and ginger-inclined women in the Spire.
