player plot: other people's problems.
My favorite types of quests in DA2 were when Hawke & Co had to fuck off to the Wounded Coast to deal with heinous murder crimes. As such... Hey wanna sign up to do a thing? Look under the cut:
Mhavos is going to receive a letter from an old '''employer'"' asking for help; their ship crashed on the Wounded Coast. Mhavos is stopped by throwing the letter in the fire by Fitcher. He's thenbullied convinced to get together a search party for the fuckers.
We need four more people to fill out the search party! Signups end... today, and if we get more than four I'll RNG who gets in.
When The Party gets to the wreckage, they find it absent of people. The Party can decide if they want to keep looking for the stranded nobles, or give up and take what's left of their stuff. If The Party decides to try and find them, I'll RNG if they're alive or not, and and depending on dice rolls whether they need to be rescued from bandits, if The Party even gets there in time, etc.
Very good dice rolls: You save everybody and they're very grateful, smooches.
Very bad dice rolls: Everybody's dead and you get blamed, whoops.
Most likely it'll be somewhere in between.
At the end, I'll have Mhavos write up a report because he likes doing those.
