Name: Jone of Denerim. Also known as Jone the Reaver, or the Monster of Denerim, she has a Reputation.

Who They Are: Jone is a Fereldan mercenary with reaver abilities whose main priorities are money and getting hers. She would not be here if not for this stupid fucking shard in her arm.
Where They've Been: Jone has travelled from Ferelden to Orlais to various parts of the Marches. If your character keeps an ear to mercenary circles, or is familiar with some of the stories surrounding Lucien Lyon du Lyon, they may have inadvertently heard of Jone.
In Merc circles of Southern Thedas, Jone has a reputation:
- nicknames / titles include variations of 'reaver' and 'monster', if you call her Jone the Monster she'll consider it a professional title, not an insult.
- always getting the job done, often in rather brutal ways.
- not really being someone you want to go up against; she doesn't win every fight, but by god it hurts when she loses
- rumor has it she died / almost died / came back from the dead in Orlais around a year ago
- she kept a long term contract with an Orlesian noble, who might have been Lucien.
Lucien Lyon du Lyon tall tales:
- there are various versions of a story where a Fereldan wild woman / woman cursed to be a feral monster / woman trapped in the body of a monster / etc was rehabilitated by Lucien, they fall in love, and then she tragically dies before they can be wed. Descriptions of said crazy woman generally describe her as troublingly tall and red-headed. For the record, Jone is 6'6".
- there are some stories of Lucien defending this crazy woman's honor against slight in duels, wearing full armor, and never even honoring his opponent by opening his helm before or after the duel was inevitably won.
- some say this woman was named Jeanne
- if your character is familiar with both merc and Lucien stories, there's a persistent rumor that Jone is the woman from those stories.
What They Want: Money. Not to have to deal with some bad romantic decisions she made a lil while back. Get this shard out. Pay her.
However, I want her to deal with the consequences of her shitty actions and stuff, so yk. Have fun with that.
Plot & CR Desires:
Jone is here to balance out Mhav, so she's not particularly educated, unabashedly violent and not particularly interested in guilt or morality. That said, she can discuss it if bored.
Very good for:
- fights! (friendly)
- fights! (unfriendly)
- being a good merc / bodyguard
- avoiding personal conversations and / or feelings
- being unthinkingly and / or purposefully rude
- poor race relations
- abruptly leaving
- killing things that she is paid to kill
