FORCES & FELANDARIS MISSION: MUSHROOM FOR INTERPRETATION

WHAT: Villages at the fringe of the Nahashin Marshes in Orlais dependent on the gathering of have reported a range of unsettling and supernatural activities originating from the marsh. Ghostly screams, inhuman sounds, traces of a thinning Veil, and even sightings of a great Fade-touched beast have been reported.

Unfortunately, the marsh is the main source of rare bienheureuse morille ("blessed morel") mushrooms which are essential in the crafting of a powerful healing poultice and the main export for many of the marsh's surrounding villages since the war (which one? all of them) began. Riftwatch has been tasked with traipsing into the Marshes to get to the bottom of things so that mushroom collecting can continue in peace.

HOW: Riftwatch will proceed to the marshes, track the source of the strange phenomena, seal any Rifts or thinning sections of the Veil which might be causing them, and ideally return the marsh to a state where the villagers can safely resume harvesting fungi. Given the severity of the phenomena reported during the Bierstagg expedition, members of Forces have been tasked with protecting Felandaris researchers against anything too eager to devour trespassers.

WHO: 3-5 Riftwatch agents, sign-ups open with preference to Forces Division members and dweebs involved with Project Felandaris. Ideal participants are nerds and jocks; an anchor or two would be nice.

WHEN: Get your sign-ups in by end of day EST, Thursday, October 22nd. The log will be posted on Sunday, October 25th.

How okay are you with spooky environmental/haunting horror elements, on a scale between 'I'm a delicate baby' and 'Blair Witch me'?: in this scale is blair witch supposed to be scary? (Is that a hot take?) Anyway I guess blair witch if that's the case.
