Who They Are: A young woman who has experienced A Lot for one lifetime, from losing her parents at a young age, becoming radicalized and joining a Facist, evil organization in the name of revenge, realizing she should have never inspired Tony Stark to create that murderbot oops, losing her brother, becoming an Avenger, siding with Steve Rogers against Tony Stark and going on the run, losing Vision twice, getting Snapped out of existence for five years, finally becoming overwhelmed with grief and accidentally turning an entire town into her own personal sitcom, creating her own Vision from scratch and having kids with him, discovering that she's had magic all along, embracing her identity as the Scarlet Witch, and then releasing the town she took hostage and going off into the mountains to train/study magic from a book that is definitely not sketchy and most certainly does not have a demon living inside of it, probably.
Where They've Been: See above. Wanda is coming from the end of WandaVision having just self-isolated in a cabin in the mountains.
What They Want: One second of happiness. She'll settle for a millisecond, at this point. And she wants to study her magic, make up for the hurt she's caused, and find a way to have a family again, in some form or another. Wanda wants to find a purpose for herself, and she'll look at joining Riftwatch as a way of being useful, helping out, and, hopefully, steering her in a clear direction.
Plot & CR Desires: Magic friends, fellow Rifters, getting involved in and learning more about Thedas in general, adventures, making friends, and she's definitely going to want to see a dragon up close for herself if she can! She's going to be fascinated by lyrium and also super horrified by the politics of magic and the history of mages. She will probably be mistrustful of the Chantry and Templars.
Anything Else: I'm super excited to be back! I've missed Fade Rift a lot and I'm excited to throw Wanda into the chaos of it all! I'll probably have an open post for her up this week, probably her coming through a rift with Despair demons, because I'm mean. :D

Edit: Editing to add in that I have a permissions/opt out post for Wanda here. I will never use her powers/abilities on another character without explicit player permission, but if you'd rather avoid that all together, you can let me know here.

THE TIMING IS VERY GOOD NGL petra has spent the past couple of years leaving rifters on read bc she was Disappointed by a lot of her peers early on, but recently she's been warming up to the competent and engaged rifters who've been coming in since then so she's more open to giving them a chance and sharing her thoughts on how to adapt and thrive in thedas tbh

Understandable! Wanda is going to want to throw herself into everything she can because coping with feelings? And aftermath? Who needs that am I right? She's definitely going to be proactive and trying to involve herself to the best way she knows how.

this is very relatable to petrana, she genuinely attempted to work herself into the ground for the first couple of years and is only recently sort of like "i guess ... friends???? hobbies?????"

but she v much respects people putting the work in, that's her biggest thing.
