PLAYER PLOT: PREPARE FOR TROUBLE

WHAT? While filing reports, Dick identified a few disparate notes regarding a population of Fade-touched nugs on the Minranter River west of Hasmal. It’s not clear how long they’ve been there or how many there are, but the potential for study (and the easy harvest of Fade-touched leather) is too promising to pass up. After all, they’re just nugs.

Unfortunately, Riftwatch isn’t the only organization to have been alerted to the opportunity. Poachers will have beaten the party to the punch, and characters will have to decide together how much they’re willing to risk it for the wrinkly pink biscuits that remain.

For folks who have wanted to acquire mounts for their characters, there will be a built in IC potential to do so here. Keep in mind that the OOC cost to retain the mount will still be 40 rewards points.

WHO? 4-6 people plus or including Dick and Holden, who Richard has enlisted to lead the expedition for him. No division requirements, but Research nerds and combat capables (to protect nerds) will have preference. Sign-ups are required, RNG may be implemented if for some reason 80 people want to hug nugs.

HOW? Setting in post, top levels + free for all tagging with a Discord chat for organization. A vote will be taken in Disco to refine the official approach of Riftwatch v Poachers.

WHEN? Sign ups end on the 26th, the post itself will either come shortly after, or I’ll time it to around a week after the next Modplot post.
