FORCES ASSIGNMENT: CREW CLUB

WHAT: A forces-mandatory training for learning the basics of boat vs boat combat (IC announcement is here.) There will be three components to training:

basic seamanship (learning lines, knots, etc, the general principles of sailing, identifying who you should listen to and when to get out of the way of the real sailors, SWIMMING...)
naval warfare (how to operate the myriad of offensive and defensive tools aboard a ship)
Flint's School for Gifted Rifterwatchers for mages and those with anchors which will focus on utilizing their magic and/or anchor abilities in naval combat.

This is mostly in the interest of a) getting to do some wacky boat stuff, and b) I plan to do more boat- and boat-related hijinks in the not too distant future and want to give you all an excuse to have your characters know enough to be dangerous.

HOW: While ICly mandatory (for members of Forces), there are two IC "sessions"; one will be for players who want to actually write the thing, and the other will be for anyone who wants to handwave. You don't have to sign-up to handwave; if you don't participate in the sign-ups below, we'll all just assume it happened/you're welcome to use this as a CR/gossip/whatever tool for your own play.

For those interested in playing, this log will feature two basic components: a general mingle log, and team based training.

WHO: Forces Division (ICly required), Mages, anyone with an anchor shard. Boat people also welcome.

WHEN: Sandwhiching this in in early June, ideally before mod plot. Sign-ups are due by EOD 1/1. Log will go up by 1/4. If there's any reporting on this, I'll file it so no worries about paperwork.
