HOW DO YOU DO FELLOW WARMBLOODS

While a chunk of Riftwatch is away having a fancy time at a fancy party, Dick Dickerson’ll be letting himself in to rummage around in a few rooms that don't belong to him. He is not looking to steal. He is just nosy, and was planning on raiding Holden’s quarters anyway because he is a good friend. Fill out the form below if you’d like your character to be hit. This is opt-in only.

Searches will be pretty straight forward -- pocket patdowns, drawer checks, and feeling for anything hidden under mattresses or false bottoms in trunks/other furniture. He is particularly interested in letters and private communications because he is an asshole.

He will have Thot working as a lookout. EVEN SO, it’s possible for someone else staying home to catch him in the act. If you’d like that to be your character, there is a form for that also. If there are multiple interested folks, I’ll roll for it.

CHARACTER: Bastien
ROOM SUMMARY: One of the large double rooms, divided by furniture to make separate sleeping and sitting areas. Filled with all the same things that can be found in every other Gallows room, except more of it, because he’s pilfered rugs and tapestries and extra chairs and so on from unused rooms/storage. Instruments in a corner, a half-played card game left as it was on the table for later, a reasonable number of books stacked in an unreasonable number of places, various gifts and knickknacks (paintings, a bust of who knows who, a music box, a bandalore, a mug that says Riftwatch's #1 Dad, etc.) on the shelves.
SOME THING(S) YOU WANT DICK TO FIND:

• A note behind a loose stone in the wall that says TIME.
  
• A small bag of pebbles under the mattress, with a slip of paper that says BETTER.
  
• A hollowed-out book containing a key and tiny scroll that says NEXT.
  
• A letter-folded paper in the drawer unlocked by that key that says LUCK.

(He’s not prescient. They’ve been there since Aleksei and Yevdokiya stole all of his shit last year. There might be enough dust and cobwebs involved to make that clear.)

Otherwise the complete absence of non-professional correspondence or items indicating connections outside of Riftwatch might be notable in itself. Or it might not. I’m really just here for the joke.
