War Table Assignment: Madman Drummers Bummers
WHAT: While ongoing background research is happening on the dragon corpse, it’s time to refresh an outstanding issue. The two talking darkspawn who appeared in the attack on Neverra City still have not been identified, beyond their self-given titles of “Madman of Chaos” and “Watchman of the Night.” (If you need a refresher, check out Firstfall 9:45 on the wiki.) With Corypheus’s forces getting bolder, it's worth finding out where the Madman of Chaos is and if there are others like him working with Corypheus.
WHO: 2-4 volunteers, members of Diplomacy and Scouting given preference. If it's more than four, I'll RNG; if it's fewer than four, Julius himself may round out the participants.
HOW: This will somewhat depends on the skill sets and interests of those who sign up, but potential avenues include pumping NPCs for info (either by letter or in person); doing some travel to hunt down leads; calling in favors (or trying to charm your way into new ones); or something else cool you think of. This will probably tend toward one-on-one threads rather than big group threads, though you could certainly set up more than one (say, for example, one thread with an NPC at a party and one checking back in with the other PC who went to the party with you).
WHEN: Soon! Sign-ups close at the end of the day on Thursday the 10th. Log to go up the weekend of the 12th/13th, and report due April 8.

Relevant skills: Letter writing wordsmith, old ladies love him, has some connections with various Chantry figures (particularly in Nevarra and Orlais) and so on that I haven't bothered to flesh out but might be handy here??? Maybe??? I don't know. Regardless: he's good at being gratingly gregarious which plays well with SOME people.
Any ideas for what kind of approach they'd favor? (optional) Cassius prefers a letter writing campaign because leaving the Gallows is for CHUMPS, but I personally think him having to do field work is hilarious so.

(optional) He's a big coward who would vote for letters or calling in favours over being there in person, but I would OOC probably have more fun doing travel and being there in person. Which is to say - I'm open, and can come up with details or roll with whatever as is helpful for you.
