our thinking was a plan along the lines of a little light entrapment of some social climbing member of the family - lalla not explicitly claiming to be a venatori but dropping enough cues and hints to see if they bite and if they can be strung along to volunteer information rather than have it interrogated out of them, maybe targeting someone who seems susceptible to wanting to impress (or, perhaps, wanting an angle of their own), with ellie playing back up to make sure she's not in too much danger doing it.

Terrific. It sounds like a good fit for this would be Sylvette Berger, one of Cedric's two sisters. Sylvette is married to a Chevalier, and has been a longtime mid-range society player in Val Royeux.
