Hello!

As discussed here, a portion of Riftwatch is scheming to display from gratitude for the folks who rewrote time to save various lives. But since that plot already had like seven posts and we're about to go into a mod plot and Satinalia, we're going to skip trying to do an IC party/mingle/etc. and handle this OOC instead.

So in the comments you'll find:

(1) A top-level for the thankers to note what they are giving to/doing for the thankees.

(2) Free for all comments if people want to register anything else of note, like if characters sought out one specific person to thank privately, or someone is mad about being thanked for some reason and stormed away about it.

Reply to whatever you want to discuss whatever you want. And if you find yourself in the position of wanting to thread something for real, go do that.

GESTURES OF GRATITUDE.

Note any gifts, thank-you cards, toasts, etc., that your heart desires, with the caveat that this top-level is for creating a handy reference of broad gestures of thanks that everyone involved in Time Magiscience, Time Traveling, and Risky Related Errands would receive more or less equally. If your character is going to go thank one specific person in a specific way, you can do that in the general comments (or privately).

There will be a post-dinner "meeting" that winds up involving wine, the best desserts a limited budget can acquire during a sugar shortage, and an opportunity for toasts and gift-giving! But it's also very fine for people to do things in their own way on their own time.

For Viktor, Strange, Wysteria and Tony, they each receive (either in their respective cubbies or in person given that they're all in Research, whichever you prefer):
- A metal coin (brass/bronze in color) approximately 8cm in diameter with the following engravings: a symbol on one side and TRUST ME on the other.
- A small note, clearly from scrap parchment on which is written: A token of gratitude for Granitefell. Don't spend it all in one place. JT

For Ellie, Derrica, Erik, Yseult, Bastien, Matthias, Mobius, Gela and Benedict, they each receive (in their respective cubbies):
- A pocket-sized leather journal with the same symbol on the front. The journal is slim due to the ongoing paper shortage-- maybe 30 pages at most. The journal looks similar to this (besides the engraving, natch).
- A small note, clearly from scrap parchment on which is written: A token of gratitude for Granitefell. JT

If asked on the symbol, he will briefly share that it represents Kindred, "the twin essences of death" in his world.

strange would definitely quiz him on the symbol’s meaning, and then meticulously add it to his personal runeterra glossary. comparative runic records are neat!!
