Who They Are: Former Vint slave, was a *famous* gladiator in the arena. Big Sport Hero, who won his freedom by being good at violence. Likes wine and women.
Where They've Been: Born in Seharon, but has few memories so don't ask him. He's been in a training facility where he's had little exposure to the outside. After he won his freedom he sort of drank his way to Kirkwall.
What They Want: To run from his incredibly bad choices. Also, wine.
Plot & CR Desires: I'd love all kinds of CR! He's a pretty genial guy who is perfectly content to share a drink with most anyone, although he does hold himself apart a little from deep friendships, so I'd love people to get past that initial cheerful facade. He does not have much in the way of patience with being looked down on or condescended to, and he has extremely, uh. Poor opinions? of enslavers. I'm happy with positive or negative CR!
Plotwise I would love him to develop some loyalty/drive, and so I'm down with him getting involved in plots. He's your general Tank character so he's good for that, and he will absolutely not take leadership positions in any way.

You know me (MJ) and for characters I have:
1. Xio the treasure hunter, who he has met already! She likes him but he isn’t allowed to be cooler than her (in her opinion) so he better keep that in mind.
2. Bastien the bard (spy kind not pure music kind) who will have ten thousand questions.
3. Kostos the rebel mage who also likes to be shirtless and will be furious when Gannicus upstages his abs. (Not that that is hard. He’s Sean Teale not the Rock.)
4. Redvers the Templar who as a general rule is amused and bemused by this whole cast of characters while planning to put half of them in jail someday. Gannicus opinions fully TBD.

astrid, from a snowy mountainous avvar tribe in the south, relatively newly-joined riftwatch itself and is in scouting now. i’ve already flung her at his post as a fellow fish-out-of-water genial cheerful person who thinks with their fists and needs to make some pals, i feel like they could get along!
