Name: Ennaris "Ness" Tavane

Who They Are: Ness is a sheltered 20 year-old sorcerer who acquired her magic shortly before dying in her home world. She's got daddy issues, she loves books, and god she just wants to be helpful, please let her be helpful, if she's helpful she gets to stay, right? Currently researching how to get an A+ in Rifter, something which is both normal to want and possible to achieve.
Where They've Been: Rifted in via the Planasene Forest with a newborn mindflayer, it was scary, she's happy to be in civilization now. There were bugs.
What They Want: To be useful enough no one tries to send her away. She needs to make a new life here, because she's dead at home, and she wants desperately to make what life she has here better than what she had. For her that involves friends, found family, books aplenty, and opportunities to earn positive attention.
Plot & CR Desires:
If anyone would like to play her arrival through the rift and help kill a mindflayer, let me know! She's going to initially struggle with controlling and understanding her magic, so anyone who's keen to have their character's mind read when she taps into it on accident, please let me know here or on plurk or discord! This will not be a constant issue, it'll be resolved within the AC period, and she'll be attempting to hide out while she gets herself under control, so if you don't want her in your characters' heads, nbd. Types of CR I'm interested in: found family is a big one, and I'm always down to explore shipping possibilities. Mostly Ness just wants people to give a shit about her, though, not picky in what way. I'm not entirely opposed to negative CR, but I can find it draining, and ICly Ness is sensitive to feeling insecure in her welcome, so I'd just request a warning before CR goes bad, so we can either find a way to pivot to a more neutral outcome or I can prepare for how that's going to go.
Anything Else: If you're interested in Ness using her telepathic abilities with your character on a more long-term basis than just this AC period, please head over here to her permissions page to opt in! In order to avoid any issues IC or OOC, I'll only be having her use her psionic abilities on characters who have been opted in to them.

happy to make that happen though!! i'll swing by your permissions post but the gist is: happy for her to do some mind-reading whenever it seems natural, it'd be better if he doesn't notice at first but somewhere down the line it'd be neat to accidentally trade secrets.
