Name: Emmrich Volkarin (and Manfred)

Who They Are: A necromancer from the Necropolis in Nevarra, a mage driven by compassion, kindness, and fear, and his little skeletal companion Curiosity.

Where They've Been: Emmrich's been in Nevarra cleaning up the undead mess, and he's spent most of his life in Nevarra City and the Necropolis. He's traveled a little, but mostly he's been down there teaching and working with the dead, undead, and spirits.

What They Want: He wants to help, teach, encourage, and watch, while not dying.

Plot & CR Desires: Everything. I've apped him because I need more of Emmrich and Bioware won't be giving that to me, so necromancy things, magic things, adventure things, friends, conflict, people who want a skeleson to run tea parties, students, research buddies, all of it.

Anything Else: I'm gonna be introducing Emmrich during the Nevarra plot that's coming up since that makes more sense than him showing up from Nevarra and then whee, right back to Nevarra. Hit me up if you'd like to pre-establish some CR from the recent trip Riftwatch made to the Necropolis or something else! We can also be flexible with keeping TDM threads/shifting them up a bit based on whatever the upcoming plot entails.

HELLO I am so beyond jazzed for this CR and want these two to eventually become pals :’) Middle-aged necromancers whose designs were based on Vincent Price, unite. I’d love to keep tagging our TDM thread; we could just be kinda nebulous re: timing in order to establish the dynamic + keep the vibes?

Also, Strange’s most notable contribution at the Necropolis: he was there with Riftwatch to help the Mortalitasi close a rift, but he had to let a random young NPC Mournwatcher named Rina die on the field in order to accomplish it. (It was a bummer.)

Will leave it totally up to you how much you want to incorporate that; could just be Emmrich having heard about it orrrr maybe the girl was one of his students if we want some complicated feelings there etc?

welcome back!! i'm very excited for cr with emmrich, i cannot adequately express just how well she'll respond to his Whole Deal. if you'd like to continue the tdm thread, i'm very happy to do so, but i'm also happy to wait to see what the modplot holds! as for prior cr, ness was in nevarra with stephen to close the rift, but she didn't have anything to do with the rina situation, so there's no complications there! they could at least have made brief eye contact in the necropolis or something if you don't want to handwave an actual conversation of any kind, lol

Hiii welcome back. You know me. My current roster is:

• Kostos who has been here so long you already know him. As discussed he could have been one of Emmrich's students when he was a teenager! His deal at the time would have been that he was surly, very religious in a kind of self-loathing way, ambitious with regard to wanting to be important among the Mortalitasi, and from a family that was low-ranking nobility but high-ranking rich. He's a spirit medium which I think is different from what Emmrich does but vibes well enough he could have needed his help dealing with it! And then he got kicked out of Nevarra for political reasons, bye.

• Bastien who I think was also here when you were here before. Orlesian ("Orlesian") bard. He is not very involved in mage things because he isn't one but has mixed "I like you but you make me nervous" feelings whenever his feelings do matter. If he were a spirit he would be a curiosity spirit so maybe he will like Manfred despite being unnerved.

• Redvers, Templar, chill in demeanor but still wants to put those mages back where they came from.

• Xiomara, Rivaini Lord of Fortune from before Veilguard lore dropped, cool with mages but very "huh that's interesting I guess, do you — squirrel!!" about details.

Hiii welcome back!! Clarisse is gonna be so interested in and jealous of Emmrich's little skeleton guy (she used to be able to summon kiiind of similar skeleton guys...) and she was also at the Necropolis a little while back, but mostly hung out toward the back of the group, so we can maybe say they recognize each other but never really spoke? Looking forward to playing with you!
