Name: Cassian Andor (Star Wars native AU)

Who They Are: An elfblooded rebel spy, reserved and cautious and devoted to the cause to an extent which borders on zealotry. He's been sent to Riftwatch as an ally and liaison.
Where They've Been: All across Tevinter doing terrible things to help keep the fight going one more day, working for the past decade with the Lucerni and, more recently, the Shadow Dragons.
What They Want: To bring down Corypheus and install better leadership in the Magisterium, particularly politicians who will advocate for better conditions for the Soporati.
Plot & CR Desires: Fellow Scouting colleagues; people from Tevinter or with opinions about Tevinter; elves and elfblooded, since he was adopted into a human family from a Dalish clan and has quiet feelings about that history he's been cut off from; mages for him to be mildly freaked out by.
Anything Else: I'm mostly sidestepping Andor season 2 details since they don't need to be a prominent part of the AU, so no need to worry about spoilers if you tag him!

hypothetically, what if: they met years ago at a fancy party when they were both in dissolute pay-no-attention-to-me persona mode? hopefully not a huge s2 detail but Cassian has a fancy foppish fashion designer disguise named Varian Skye, so it could be very funny if they run into each other again all these ages later like [spidermanpointing.jpg]

I love this more than words can say. Roughly what timeframe has Cassian been active during? Just so I can game out whether Byerly would have met him as a Fereldan operative (during which he was way more seedy and dissolute) or when he was with Riftwatch (where he was a bit more respectable).

[handwavy timeline math], but I’m thinking Cassian prob started around 6 years ago (9:45) after the Archon was initially deposed and replaced with a Venatori puppet, so I thinnnk that might’ve been right around when Byerly joined the Inquisition?

Hell yeah that's absolutely perfect. So in that case I'd suggest that they could have bumped into each other in the past two or so years - Byerly started doing more classic-type spy missions in Tevinter after he stepped down from Diplo head + they got eluvians set up in Minrathous.

So I propose that Cassian would know Byerly as Enrik, an unscrupulous and hedonistic merchant from Hercinia who had initially been in talks to smuggle silk to "Varian" as part of an entrapment operation. However, when they ended up meeting, they both got Bad Vibes from the other and ended up mutually breaking off contact because they were both trying to set the other person up, so no deal went through.

but also hell yea Senna— esp since their careers/politics are like, both pitted against the Imperium for the same broad reasons but such different routes to get there.

hell yeah as libby already yelled below elfblood club!! and probably also complicated feelings about tevinter civilians and the war. cedric's fam fled tevinter a few generations back so he'll probably be pretty curious about life on the ground for cassian.
