Welcome to Fade Rift!

We're excited to have you and we hope you're excited to be here! Please use this post and the form below for all your OOC intro needs. We've kept the form pretty basic, more like a plurk friending-type thing, because we're going to have a CR Meme once all apps have been processed where you can expound on plans and character info. In the meantime, make friends, influence people (to app), and get to RPing (if you play a native)! Don't forget to go fill out the Taken and Player Contact pages while you're at it!

Hullo. You might recognize my name from a few months ago when I app'd Balthier. Long story short, life kicked me in the teeth and I took a big step back RP-wise. Anywho! I'm back and bringing you guys Warden Blackwall from that Inquisitiony game.

Because of who he is, I feel like I should put out a blanket spoiler warning for anyone who hasn't played through Inquisition and plans to, if you've somehow managed to avoid spoilers thus far.

So, he was recruited at Haven as he was in game, he's just been on a mission for the past... ever. I'm saying he's been sent off to the Storm Coast, trying to track down some hints as to where the Wardens who have up and disappeared could have gone. He's basically come back with not a lot to find that some random Wardens have shown up, which is a little nerve wracking.

The mods told me to give any Warden characters a gentle reminder to ignore the whole idea that Grey Wardens can recognize other Grey Wardens, or else the jig is up. I've seen the excuse that the calling is too noisy because of what Corypheus is doing at the moment for Wardens to be able to pay much attention to it... um, say whatever you want >_>

Allllsoooo, I'd super appreciate it if no Warden characters had actually met Blackwall. The whole 'oh, my mentor/friend/whatever warden knew and mentioned Blackwall' is totally fine though and will make him squirm and give unconvincing vague statements about them.

I'm glad you came back, and with Blackwall! Since Korrin was in Haven from the very beginning, would it be alright to say that they knew of each other back before he took off for the Storm Coast? The TDM stuff won't apply, but they'd still have that link.

So here is the Outsider! He's a Rifter from a semi-Victorian world where he's the current god of the Void (think the Fade but more floaty and empty and purple). He likes to observe the world and its people and most especially enjoys seeing what people do with power (magical, political, or otherwise) and the Unexpected. He's over 4000 years old and he's got basically no social skills.

Hi there. I was here a short time ago, with Aveline as you might recall. Life happened and I dropped when things sort of worked themselves out sooner than I thought and so I'm back again! Yes, hi!

Aveline is... well, you know. She's the guard captain of Kirkwall. She's a pretty straightfoward warrior lady -- loyal and kind until you get on her wrong side. It's happened before, you know.

Basically, because I dropped only a short time ago, I'm going to play it as Aveline having never left. She'd still be around, you'd likely see her in the training yard or forge or helping with whatever needs to be done. Feel free to have seen her.

Hello! My name is Marta (Duh) And I'm an italian lady with a thing for FFIV. I love DA and... I don't honestly know what to write about myself. I should be working as nurse but I'm sitting in a chaotic PPE office, I like books, music, and I may disapear for 2-3 days every once in a while because my office can be, indeed, pure chaos. Also, sometimes I may DERP THE ENGRISH since it's not my native language... feel free to mention it anytime, I will correct and learn!

I bring you Rydia, coming after FFIV's sequel: she's the last summoner of her planet, a new (adoptive) mom and a generaly kind person who can be weird now and then. Average social skills, friendly attitude (Especially toward non humans but shhh- she might develope a thing for dwarvens), non existent romantic skills... that's prettymuch her.
Oh, and she's one of Kain's buddies, she just comes from 17 years in the future compared to him, and- I don't know what to say here.

Yay!!! Oh, no worries, it's definitely understandable how a long and busy work week can mess up things. I apparently rly like being late to things. I also play people who have varying degrees of sarcasm, emotional stunting, and alcoholism. This has no reflection on me whatsoever. Obviously. ALSO in more actually useful news: I live in the middle of the pacific ocean so my 'prime online' hours are totally shit for most of you. I'm apologising in advance.

In terms of apologising for Athos in advance, it's mostly just a sort of blanket 'hey this guy is actually not a dick but you have to get beyond or around his three laser tag levels of being-a-dick to notice that'. I mean. Still waters?

Okay so Athos was originally Olivier d'Athos de la Fère, chevalier. that itself had a fair number of issues for him, but mostly he got fucked over by nearly every single person he knew and then he left orlais and no he won't tell you about it and no he doesn't look orlesian until he opens his mouth and sounds vaguely like one. he tries not to sound like one sometimes, but it's not perfect. he's more acquainted with just not talking.

He mostly joined the Inquisition bc a couple of people he's run into were like 'hey bro there's this thing' and he's been looking for literally anything that lends meaning to life. IDK he's been in a very strange state of identity for a while. This is what happens when you app 33.33% of a definitely-three-part-codependant-group-of-friends without the other 66.66% of said friends.

Anyone with Orlesian connections in... more or less any way is welcome to know that: his wife killed his brother for (1. attempting to force her, 2. bc he learned she was a criminal and lying about it. 3. because he was in a rage induced by [legitimately insert thing here]. 4. because she actually attacked him first in order to gain his inheritance - as his parents died not too long after - and knew she wasn't going to be wedded. 5. who the hell knows what else, it's orlesian court politics. you can legitimately come up with whatever you want and i won't discount it as a theory that went around.

GOD this is long now i'm sorry. hi i'm jansen and i have athos and we're both terrible people but to vastly different degrees and i'll let you determine which is which.
