Thank you to everyone who signed up to have a bad time in Kirkwall! RNG has spoken, and the ~~victims~~ members are as follows!

All members of Team A will have been told not to spread information about the eluvian around as it could lead to unwanted attention from Corypheus. All members of Team B will not have been told what, exactly, they're going to get from Kirkwall or how the other team got there until rendezvousing with Team A, in which case Merrill will ask them not to spread information about the eluvian either (and Morrigan will threaten everyone not to, let's be honest).

Team A will also get to very briefly experience the crossroads; as a reminder, they will experience this differently if they're elves or not! Non-elves will notice that it is very foggy, that there are sparks of green in the air, and that any vegetation appears to be dead. Elves will have a clearer view with no magic sparks, though it will seem darker, and any vegetation will appear to be in bloom. ~~(Kate, I'm checking with the mods re: Thranduil since he's a rifter; I'll let you know what they say!)~~ Thranduil the rifter "will experience the same discomfort and fatigue that non-elves experience in the Crossroads, and the environment will appear to him to be desaturated and flowerless and so on as well. However, other people will perceive him differently. It will be impossible to put a precise finger on what exactly is different about him, and he won't actually look any different, but he'll be a little difficult to bring into focus--like having to adjust camera lens, but so quickly it's hard to pinpoint--while simultaneously seeming a bit brighter than his surroundings" as per the mods! As this will be extremely brief, there will not be a thread for this; instead, they'll basically pop out of the eluvian and right into the action.

Team B... gets to experience a boat ride, yay! If you would like a thread for travel, let me know; otherwise, it can be handwaved!

All characters should have packed supplies based on what the mission was supposed to be (quick in-and-out for Team A, a pick-up mission for Team B) so that everything is that much worse while they're lost in the dark. I know some characters are paranoid and overpack, but let's not bring enough food for the entire team to have a 3-course meal, either.

Would Merrill be willing to take any who want to go to the Black Emporium before they leave? IDK how easy it is to find if you've never been, so I assume someone who has been there before can show them (but this is Merrill and... yeah, getting lost is a thing).

As per the mods: "Merrill and Bethany can take everyone to try to visit the Black Emporium, but the shop will have been vacated and emptied, with nothing left behind save some sword gauges in the railing and a single sock."

so if you want a sock you are in luck

As usual, Inessa has Garahel with her. The mabari will mostly guard her in combat but if someone's in dire need he'll come to their rescue!

And I know their time will be brief, but Inessa will be fascinated by the crossroads and want to observe how it reacts to her magic, and perhaps take a flower bloom for study in and out of the crossroads and so on, for future note-taking.

Ellana will be all about gushing over the crossroads with her, but then they'll land in the dark tunnel and be all "Oh." But they can talk about it later at Skyhold!
