Pirate Alliance

Hi guys, back properly from hiatus and with some pirate armada alliance dealio for Llomerryn. The full plot details are here but here's the person Araceli needs some help getting to know better in the hopes that winning her favour will persuade her to work with the Inquisition in the future but in the meantime alert the Inquisition re: Tevinter encroachment and Qunari advancement. Also letting everyone drink in Llomerryn without being hassled.

In Llomerryn, your character will be able to determine that while there are many captains on the island, there are generally only a few who have any power or influence beyond their own crews. Right now, the ascendant captain is Capitán Gloriana Valdez, by far the most powerful of the captains who make the city their regular port of call. She has a trio of ships, and strong ties to the Felicissima Armada, not to mention a fearsome reputation.

To do this Araceli needs:

• someone capable of outdrinking this captain (or someone capable of watering down their drink/cheating her)
• someone who can beat her at Diamondback (she doesn't play Wicked Grace)
• someone who can make two different pirate puns over the course of the conversation
• noticing and stopping an approaching thief from lifting her keys

I figure if you're up for any of this we can work out who wants to be involved in what, the full plot comment lays out everything needed for successful mission complete etc and maybe just having some ridiculous pirate fun with a captain who could make life easier.

eta: squad is locked, log is going up hopefully we're all good with handwaving how everyone is approached (or it can come up on the way/in sidebar chats).

I could toss Fenris at either the drinking or the cards! Maybe the cards... he's definitely played Diamondback often enough.

If Korrin's arrival in Llomerryn works out for this, timing-wise, I'm all for her helping to outdrink the captain. Odds she wouldn't even need to cheat, but if she did, I did just have her purchase that Drinking Stone....

As Adasse learned the hard way, Teren is very good at spotting and dissuading thieves. She also has zero qualms dealing with pirates and would happily pull for any kind of Mutually Beneficial Agreements.
