Who They Are: Mild-mannered lower-class Fereldan cityboy trying to make it on his own after losing eleven years of his life to the Circle of Magi.
Where They've Been: Denerim, Kinloch Hold, various port cities.
What They Want: A normal life with friends, a real job, and freedom from the Templars.
Plot & CR Desires: Slowly coming around to his gifts as a mage, and even more slowly coming around to the idea of some Templars being safe to be around. Also people to whom he might be able to sell lyrium.

I’ve been ignoring how Alistair gets lyrium by wiggling my fingers and saying that Orzammar likes Wardens but I could totes have him start getting it from Colin.

I would love to have Vandelin meet him for Talks About Cooking and Maybe Eventually About Magestuff, and for Simon to meet him for eventual, possible lyrium procurement (whether it's the "hey I don't want to be subject to the Chantry anymore, can I get it from you instead" kind, or the "hey my ration isn't cutting it can I pick up a little extra" kind, depending on future plot.)

If he knows Vandelin is a mage, he'll be likely to come out with it. He's not even requiring people to keep it a secret, he's just not telling non-mages. But cooking is always a safe subject.

Templar CR is the reason I kept him as a current lyrium dealer, since otherwise he'd just be avoidant. All this is good, very good.
