Who They Are: Sellsword, ex-chevalier squire, runaway thief and professional weirdy beardy gofor. One time he fought on the losing side of a civil war and it was awkward.
Where They've Been: The Free Marches and along any major trade routes that doesn't lead directly into Orlais (spoilers: most mercenary work involves guarding wagons and crates). His return to his homeland for the War of the Lions was the first time he'd been back in a decade, though once upon a time he spent his a majority of his life faffing about Orlais on the heels of an eccentric chevalier.
What They Want: Reliable room and board. Marcoulf thrives on work that's consistently inconsistent and Not Being In Charge. His last work was erased by the Inquisition, so consider this the pettiest form of getting even. If he manages to endear himself to someone important along the way, all the better.
Plot & CR Desires: Very much here to be your errand running beard and that awkward person who believes in the status quo even when it's been objectively harmful to them. Mostly I'm looking for him to be adjacent to Action, Intrigue, and Shennanigans (oh my) - he's a a scraggly blunt instrument and it'd be rad to have characters who want someone reliable to get something done utilize that. Long term, I'd be interested in having him form his own opinions that aren't primarily dictated by the most important person in the room but ???.

And Magni will be all about embracing sensibleness. Let's be sensible and quietly judge all these weirdos together!!! She doesn't talk much but she has travelled around with some surface dwarf merchants here and there, so perhaps they could have past cr or something, if we wanted to kickstart bro potential.

Also dude I am 100% here for sensible, quiet bro material. I'm all for them having at some point crossed paths in the past. Depending on the scope of her dwarf merchant pals' enterprise, it might be totally viable for him to have at some point been hired on to be the extra stabber in case of bandits? Alternatively- just crossing paths in similar trade towns etc?
Regardless - he should definitely have her sharpen his sword or something y/y????

That would be cool! She largely travelled as muscle for a particular group of traders, but I think definitely he could have been hired with them as extra back up. I could fling you a pm if you like with some of the deets about the Varmas family and stuff with them? I don't have a lot of deets, but some deets. (I can add you on le plurks maybe?)
AND FOR SURE. She'd be down for that 100%. She could also sometime make him fancy custom things if ever you desire!
