MOD POST ↠ PLOT UPDATE, AGAIN

MOD PLOT: Update, Again

DEADLINE ADJUSTMENTS

The poll regarding the Divine plot deadlines was a nearly even split, with just a slight majority favoring an extension. So in an attempt to balance the needs of folks who need more time and the folks who would prefer to move on sooner, we're extending things, but not by a full two weeks. The new deadlines are:

  • Plot request submissions due by the end of the day on April 3, 2019.
  • Plot proofs/point submissions due by the end of the day on April 29, 2019.

We'll post the mod log on April 30, 2019. And remember, it won't be a huge multi-part event like we've often done in the past, since the majority of the drama for this plot is happening in the build-up rather than when the decision is finally made. It will be more of a mingle to react to the outcome and require a relatively low time commitment compared to past plot logs.

    STANDINGS UPDATE

We've updated the standings for the Divine candidates in this spreadsheet based on currently approved plots. We aren't revealing the exact points, but the difference between several of the candidates and especially between the top two candidates is currently VERY NARROW, impossible to overstate how narrow it is really, so folks who are considering making new plot proposals should take that into account and definitely do it. There's still plenty of opportunity to make a difference to the outcome.

IC, "standings" translate into a general sense of buzz and momentum, so while your characters wouldn't be able to refer to specific rankings (nobody is polling Grand Clerics on their current voting plans), over the course of the month as these plots actually happen, they could certainly be aware that public opinion shifts and odds-makers (who definitely do exist IC) adjust to account for new favorites.

    REMINDERS

The full requirements for various levels of impact can be found here, but a few reminders:

  • All plots require that you submit proof of people RPing about them in some capacity in order for the points to count. Obviously you can do a plot log and so on for anything you want, but for minimum requirements, low-impact plots can just be discussed in some way in inboxes, medium-impact plots have to be RPed about in some form on the comms, and high-impact plots need threads that are at least long enough to count for AC and are directly about the plot itself. Once you've RPed something, submit proof here.

  • The only plots with minimum participant numbers are those that would disqualify a candidate completely. Otherwise, it's fine for things to involve only a couple of characters, or even be the work of just one character, as long as you RP about it.

  • A whole bunch of other info is over here.
