smol plot: crash dummies.
As per this network post, Tony is looking for volunteers to field test some items he's been working on after a lot of back and forth with dwarven crafters: some enchanted, some not, some in between. How this works is you will be given the item, and you may incorporate this into whatever RP you like (or leave it collecting dust in your room, if you really want), and around mid-October, Tony will come to collect it.
By signing up, you're agreeing to take ownership of but ultimately give back an item! Some of these will be buyable with AC points, some of these will just be limited use and owned by Riftwatch, but they're free for use within the confines of the plot.
Tony will report on this himself, so all you have to do is read the blurb I give you and then expect to have an answer when you're asked how it was. The sign up form below also has an option for something going wrong, in which event I will be rolling a d10 to see how bad. (If everyone picks this option, I'll probably RNG to limit the rate of failure.)
No one will actually die. Unless you really want to.

now in the right place
Character: Ellie
Choose some:
[ ] gliding
[x] climbing
[x] throwing
[ ] zapping
[x] suiting up
[x] "shield!"
Oops or No Oops?: Either way! Oops is cool on anything but the throwing.
no subject
This includes an adjustable leather harness with in-built spools of super-tough wire, and a separate spool that can be attached to the harness as well. A belay device to assist in smooth rappelling downwards, a few different kinds of hooks and anchors, and a pair of ascenders to assist in climbing up. If she's not personally familiar with this kind of equipment, Tony will do a demo.
Slightly more special, however, are also a pair of gloves. These are made of some kind of hide, with coppery wires run through the stitches to ensure an adjustable and close fit, with wider copper rings that fit around the wrists. The palms and fingers are lined with an odd sort of velcro-like yet organic material. By clicking the wrists together, small runic inscriptions flare up, activating some kind of affect that makes the palm-lining of the gloves stick to flat surfaces. They peel off smoothly, and then hold fast when weight is applied. There are also matching boots with this same affect on the soles.
I rolled a 1 on your oops potential. At one heart stopping moment, one of the gloves will cease to be activated, leaving her stranded. However, Ellie didn't get up too high, and she can either bang the glove against the wall until it reactivates, or parkour back down safely.
As a reminder, Ellie won't be able to keep these items beyond around mid to late October, as they will require AC points to purchase (but that will be an option if you're keen!). At that stage, Tony will come check in around how field testing is going, if Ellie doesn't approach first.
