PLAYER PLOT(s): MOVERS AND SHAKERS

WHAT: A series of mixed-division/mixed-project, more or less official Riftwatch business assignments dealing with some of the mage-templar-chantry politics in the aftermath of the kiboshed Conclave attempt.

These are odd-job style assignments that are meant to be done by a small number of characters (2-3), or styled as mingle logs for ease of play.

HOW: You'll be provided with a brief overview of the goals/stakes/potential complications of each mission, but will otherwise be expected to set up their logs/conduct the missions as you see fit. If presented with a choice of A path or B path, the selection won't affect the success of the mission itself, but it may weigh the scales for Conclave Pt.2 so make your decisions wisely.

WHO: All y'all. Each mission has preferred character types noted, but I'm really just using these suggestions as flavor guidelines so a) don't feel tied down by them, and b) please don't hold the respective divheads/project leads personally responsible for any of my half baked hijinks.

WHEN: OOC sign-ups close EOD Saturday, Oct 1st. Groups will be finalized and additional details distributed in the next 48-ish hours. This sign-up period is purposefully short to make sure all business is settled before Conclave Pt.2. ICly, you're welcome to date these however is convenient or interesting so long as it occurs pre-Conclave Pt.2 (whenever that happens), so don't be worried about this overlapping with any IC obligations/feel free to sign up for multiples if you have the time and interest.

Reports for these mini-plots will be due by October 31st. Don't make me hunt you down. [knife emoji]

Please get together and make sure something in some form gets filed on the comm for reference by 11/6. Conclave pt.2 is coming up and while MJ has the miniplot briefs, she may not be able to incorporate your decision making or the latest hot goss without a report.

Hey there! We're not QUITE to a reportable outcome yet but we've decided on a course of action.

1. Before they confront Glas, Marcus is going to send a message to Riftwatch and ravens to the Inquisition outlining the situation as it stands, explaining what they found and Glas' unwillingness to listen to Warden Ellis' assessment of the tainted lyrium. They will deem her unfit for service due to her willingness to poison those under her command with the tainted lyrium, not to mention the rest of the Inquisition. They will share how they intended to convince her in the moment, then their intent to destroy the lyrium as soon as they can take it without resistance.
2. Ellis is going to play the Warden card. He will claim that the Grey Wardens are taking charge of the cache.
3. Ellie and Marcus will secure the crates.
4. If allowed, the rest of the mission is to proceed as planned.
5. They will be preserving two samples of the tainted lyrium, one for proof and one for research at Riftwatch.

Good news: Glas will fold to the Warden card, though likely not without a biting remark about the Right of Conscription applying to people, not to goods. Still—she considers herself an honorable person even if no one else she's working with is choosing to act so, and if they're content to rob the Inquisition of valuable goods then so be it.

Less great: The implication is that she's definitely still planning to report this to her superiors at the next opportunity. Her fellow Inquisition agents won't interfere significantly one way or another. In fact, if any of them seem to be leaning toward support of the Riftwatch folks, Glas will promptly bully them back into line.

The long-term implications of which? Will remain a mystery!!! (For now. Wigglyeyes.gif)

Hey! I'm going to pull together a bulk report for some of these assignments in an effort to keep the wiki up to speed and my ducks in a row in case I'm moved to do any follow up assignments that involve this.

Let me know if there's anything y'all want to add in addition to your previous notes, if you have any relevant things you want linked in addition to the log, and if you have any preferences where the report point gets spent once mod hiatus is over.
