So as I stated on my plurk earlier, Merrick is going to confront Cade at the ball for what he did to Beleth at the Emprise. And by confront I mean beat him into pulp, the good old-fashioned Merrick way. I'm putting this post here so ppl can organize thoughts/reactions, and to hash things out before anything is set in stone.

Right now the plans seem to be that Merrick will attack Cade outside the main part of the ball. It won't be in direct line of sight of any of the visiting nobles, but there will be a chance maybe one or two could see. The spot will be relatively secluded, but if u want your character to witness the raw action then let me know here! Otherwise this is just a general plotting post.

Don't worry, Metaari is going to be physically hauling Merrick away, though idk if anyone's keeping Cade at bay yet.

If Metaari will be hauling dear Merrick away, then Alayre will wrangle Cade before things go from bad to worse.

It's the least he could do.
