It's not a party til someone gets they ass beat

So as I stated on my plurk earlier, Merrick is going to confront Cade at the ball for what he did to Beleth at the Emprise. And by confront I mean beat him into pulp, the good old-fashioned Merrick way. I'm putting this post here so ppl can organize thoughts/reactions, and to hash things out before anything is set in stone.

Right now the plans seem to be that Merrick will attack Cade outside the main part of the ball. It won't be in direct line of sight of any of the visiting nobles, but there will be a chance maybe one or two could see. The spot will be relatively secluded, but if u want your character to witness the raw action then let me know here! Otherwise this is just a general plotting post.

Wherever this goes down, Vivienne will convince any visiting nobles which catch a glimpse of it that it was a fight over the affections of a maid. Terribly romantic and exciting isn't it? Smooth things over, everything is fine, oh look we're all still upstanding people. Give us money.

Anyway, from that aspect, since the point of the party is to convince dissenting nobles that the Inquisition is legit, I did talk to the involved parties that it not turn so ugly that it would interfere with the purpose of the event.

(Also, since Aleron is now more or less Cade's employer. He will be giving the guy epic stink eye for picking another fight. Until he finds out that Cade did not, in fact, pick a fight this time.)

If Vivienne would like a volunteer for helping to deal with nobles that get their feathers ruffled, Araceli would volunteer to do damage control for the Inquisition. Look at this good rifter, helping make everything look a-okay.

Cyril would also like to help with damage control with any nobles or visitors. He has a lot of experience smoothing things over when it comes to Merrick... Also I kind of want him to get more involved with some of the politics going down and maybe he can impress the right people by how he helps handle this? I dunno? Or something?
