So! Myr & Cas are looking into how to upgrade the Inquisition's sending crystals.

The mods have approved the following potential features:

• Images
• Texting
• Caller ID
• Location tracking
• Recording capability
• Skipping saved messages

I figure we can focus on one or two to start with, and see how it goes.

Obviously, some of these would be very controversial IC! Therefore, IC discussion/debate needs to accompany any potential feature releases — especially location-tracking. If we choose to pursue location-tracking, its development needs to either be IC-ly public, or otherwise leaked to the game at large.

I've been looking at this as a slightly longer-term, ongoing project (so new characters can get involved as they choose), but if you have a different vision for how it should go, let's hear it.

This is an informal, background project for characters to be working on, but there will be smaller, optional player plot opportunities to get the reagents/info needed. I've got a section in comments for an interest check, which I'll begin collecting people for IC later this month.

If your character isn't a researcher, but you'd like them to be involved, let me know and we'll figure something out for them!

So!

Our top three features were: Texting, images, and recording capability. We have a large number of signups, so it probably makes sense to split stuff up a little IC. Do you have a specific preference for which feature to say he's working on?

I'll have Cas reach out IC after you pick & we're through our current thread; Anders has made a good first impression so far, he probably doesn't need anything more than that to introduce the project. If this doesn't work for you let's figure something out!

I feel he'd probably find recording the most useful, followed by texting and then lastly images.

In case you want to hit up other folks on the project at some point, right now the others ICly working on recording are: Myr, Adasse.

You can also feel free to assume Casimir's helping out a little on each of them as needed.

I'll be slipping a player plot request in for a mini thing near the end of November. This'll be totally optional, but Anders will be able to take part if you'd like.
