MOD ANNOUNCEMENTS: NOVEMBER
ORGANIZATIONAL/OOC UPDATES
Important dates can always be found on the calendar, but here are the most noteworthy upcoming OOC dates:
Status & News Post
There is a new post stickied at the top of the log comm that, in addition to the post header form, includes some new information: status and weather updates from the Gallows base, a list of major events/plots taking place that month that should be common knowledge to all characters, and (beneath the cut) some news updates from across Thedas.
Our goal in providing this information—and sticking it where you have to look at it every time you visit the log comm—is to help everyone feel more like they and their characters know what's going on each month. We'll be updating that post in conjunction with our OOC updates each month, so if you use a reading page rather than looking at the log comm, be sure to check it at the beginning of the month.
Holiday Schedule
As we did last year, we'll be taking a scheduled modding break in December to account for holiday travel and so on. This means:
We'll return to our normal schedule and AC requirements in January.
IC UPDATES
Firstfall Plot Updates
Our Satinalia celebration is live, the fancy Hightown party to try to impress the nobility is ongoing, Perendale is being invaded, and the Gallows are being infiltrated. Quieter happenings include Fade excursions, assassinations, and impending deaths.
Later this month, the Inquisition's Kirkwall forces will be invited to Nevarra City to be thanked for their efforts in defending Perendale. It will walk like a trap, and it will quack like a trap, which means it's probably—idk, some sort of really weird duck. We'll have an open log and several options for player-led plots set in the region. Look for more information and plot sign-ups next week.
IC Leadership & Project Membership
Projects are always open for new members! Remember that this is a war, and then projects represent specific areas of need. Your character doesn't have to be an expert or even personally interested in a topic to get roped into helping. Just sign them up, and they can learn as they go. Likewise, we encourage existing project members to continue plotting as a group and proposing player plots within your topic. The overall plot at Fade Rift is very player-driven, and the best way to be involved is always to be proactive.
We also have a number of leadership slots still available--anyone interested in signing their character up should submit an application on the Leadership page by November 30. The next round of appointments will be made in December.
