Who They Are: Alec is a lot of things: a thief, a spy, a baron of a haunted island, a lover, a fi—okay just read the above links.
Where They've Been: So far, he's just arrived and wants to know the deal behind this Rift thing.
What They Want: to go home? nah, he just wants to know wtf is going on and what he needs to do to save the day this time.
Plot & CR Desires: i really want to get him involved in the scouting division, using his skills and talents, but also to get involved into the underground with spying (or as he calls it, nightrunning)

Who They Are: Super cool (get it, because she specializes in winter elemental magic) special forces type battlemage; sister to Joselyn Smythe; exterior says rebel mage, heart has loyalist leanings. She's pretty sure all of you Riftwatchers have radical cooties.
Where They've Been: The frontlines of the war in Orlais, working under the Inquisition's banner. Previously, rebel mage with an unglamorous and/or underplayed reputation primarily known for being extremely reliable and maybe slightly too serious. But like, y'know, who wasn't?
What They Want: It would be neat to end the war.
Plot & CR Desires: Anything/everything is so passe to say and yet here I am. But also: this is the first time I'm playing a mage here, so it would be neat to get engrossed in some Mage Relations things.
Anything Else: Miriam cuts her own bangs.
