Name: Former Knight-Lieutenant Kristin Arantza Maialen Belascuza Ortega

Who They Are: A native AU of Kristin Ortega, cyberpunk homicide detective from a capitalist hellscape future in Netflix's adaptation of Altered Carbon. She's an Antiva City native who specialized in magic-related mysteries as a templar, fought in the Mage-Templar War, then returned to Antiva and took up work in the local city guard. A conspiracy within the ranks recently ended with most of her family dead + her right arm chopped off just below the shoulder. It's kind of a touchy subject.

Oh, and she's trying to get off lyrium, so she's in withdrawal at the moment.

Where They've Been: Investigating a mystery while angrily mourning a dead boyfriend, losing a lot of shit she really wanted to keep, and also getting romantically involved with a Grey Warden she probably should've just left alone.
What They Want: A fucking drink.
Plot & CR Desires: I'm interested in templar stuff, mage stuff, lyrium stuff, detective stuff, too-angry-at-God-to-be-an-atheist stuff, whatever might float your boat! I do want to put a caveat out there that Ortega is someone who can be mean, brusque, crude, demanding, etc. The classic canon example is that she tells a reporter to go fist herself on live TV - you know, like a healthy, well-balanced person does! While negative CR isn't her only mode, she's in a place where she's a small, sad, angry woman with strong desire to punch things. Or maybe pick fights on the crystals. Potato, potato.
Anything Else: My ability to write tags is still kind of wobbly, but I'm hoping Laura and Ortega will be good foils.
