"Say," you're likely thinking to yourself, "there hasn't been any emotional turmoil lately. My character hasn't been put through the wringer. They're actually feeling pretty ok, pretty stable."

Well, do I have a solution for you! The weekend after next, a certain visitor from a rebel mage group will be coming to Riftwatch. This group has long been suspicious about Riftwatch's intentions and the fact that they seem to be moderately buddy-buddy with the Chantry, and so they want to make Riftwatch tell the truth...and luckily for them, unluckily for us, they found a Rifted magical potion on their journeys that will do just that. They use this potion to spike a certain vat of soup at the Gallows; for two days, everyone who consumed a bowl of this soup will be compelled to speak only the truth.

That's right, y'all... It's a classic truth plot.

What? Truth plot! Your character is compelled to only speak the truth. The form this takes can depend on what you want to play out - you can either say your character got a big dose and have them babble the truth uncontrollably, or you can have them have gotten a weaker dose and give them some leeway to tell half-truths and prevarications.
When? Technically running from July 15th-16th, but feel free to handwave a bit if those precise dates don't work for you.
Opt outs? Easily! If you don't want your character to have to speak the truth, you can just say they skipped the soup that day.

But above all else, remember, make your character miserable have fun.
