What They Want: To go home, to not be stuck in this squishy guise. But while he's here, he might not say no to snacks or beating you at high stakes card games.

Bartimaeus is having a rough time right before he gets to Thedas, and he isn't going to be happy about falling out of a rift into a room full of magic getting bandied around and folks slicing and dicing their way through demons (who, you know, really don't look that too far off from a guy he once knew back in Sumaria circa 400BC, come to think of it...). Which is to say: raise your hand if you want to capture a shapeshifting spirit fresh out of the Fade who might turn on the Inquisition's people faster than he will the demons surrounding the rift.

Please help me put my character straight into the Gallows' dungeons.

Who They Are: The kind of obnoxious, precocious rich bitch who turns to crime because it's the only thing challenging or exciting in her life. Grew up on a shitty planet where they enslaved the dead, who eventually turned on them all (spoilers: Z O M B I E S). Carla survived, and is all the more annoying for it. She has absolutely no regard for anyone who isn't herself, and she will lie, cheat, steal, fuck, and bully anyone or anything to get her way. What They Want: To go the hell home. Until that can happen, she'll settle for entertaining work and introducing people to (what she considers) real seafood.

• Also, she's a pretty great liar and has, like, the wonkiest moral compass you can imagine. She has zero problem with stealing things. Please make use of these things as well!
  
• Also, Misao loves cold, distant, or "gloomy" people, and she's got a high tolerance for weird. Bring your cold, unapproachable weirdos (as long as they have a high tolerance for chirpy thieves, or, you know, a low tolerance for chirpy thieves, but a high "murder the problem" threshold)

Who They Are: Just a former literal weapon working on the whole 'being a human person' thing, no big deal.
Where They've Been: Carried around, put in a shrine, and also all over different eras. Time travel is a trip.
What They Want: To get over the past, to be free, to get more used to human life. Right now he also wants to keep people from knowing he was ever anything but human and is probably going to use a fake name to that end, just in case.
Plot & CR Desires: slaps both my hands down on the table, give me other people who weren't always human/mortal/whatever, it'll be interesting! He already had a human body before coming here but he used to be the spirit of a sword so like. If you're into that kind of thing, here you go. Also I don't want to necessarily out that right now but he can be physically hurt by damaging his sword, so at some point I would definitely like to do a thing with that.
Anything Else: considering the 'formerly a Literal Sword' thing, he does sometimes refer to previous owners/masters/etc. or to being owned/used. Obviously this sounds very different if people don't have the context of "also I was physically an object back then". I have an opt-out post if you want to avoid that, zero hard feelings if you don't want to tag or if you just want me to be aware not to bring it up in threads with you!

Where They've Been: Spent a few centuries wandering around Japan slaying mononoke selling medicine. Got shat out a rift once about two years ago, somehow sucked back in, and then shat right back out. He is Not Amused.
What They Want: To smoke some elfroot, sell you medicine, to slay abominations, and eat some sweet fried tofu
Plot & CR Desires: Would love to link back up with past CR since MS has all his old memories, scare up some new CR, go on wacky ghost adventures where many hijinks and shenanigans will surely ensue, pokin spirits (especially Avvar spirit stuff) and surreal af fade/magic shit - you know fun stuff.
